- Lancashire cheese - 3.9 oz
- Baking Powder - 6.2 oz
- Scallions - 4 stalks
- Milk - 2 tablespoons
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Cayenne Pepper - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Sift the flour into a bowl, add finely chopped green onions, 2/3 of the chopped cheese, cayenne pepper, and salt. Add grated celery root. Mix well.
Step 2
Beat the egg with the milk, pour the mixture into the bowl with the flour and onions, and mix.
Step 3
Place the dough on a baking sheet, shape it into a flatbread, and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Step 4
Bake at 374°F for 45–50 minutes until golden brown.
