Description
I found this amount of sugar to be quite suitable, but for me, it’s a bit much, so I recommend trying the batter as you add sugar.

- Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
- Sugar - 8.8 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 5 pieces
- Crabapples - 3 pieces
- Butter - 0.4 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Then whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add sugar to the egg whites, then the yolks, the lemon juice mixed baking soda, and flour, continuing to whip all the while. We end up with an airy mixture that resembles good thick sour cream in consistency.
Step 2
Peel the apples and slice them thinly, then arrange them in a baking dish greased with butter. Pour the resulting mixture on top and place it in the oven. For even baking, you can wait about 5 minutes before putting it in the oven. This will prevent the center from rising too high.
Step 3
Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for about 40 minutes on the middle rack. Check for doneness with a toothpick.
