Description
Chebureki with Choux Pastry
Ingredients
- Water - 1 cup
- Wheat Flour - 3 cups
- Veal Mince - 17.6 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Milk - ½ cup
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the choux pastry. In salted boiling water, add 1 cup of flour. Use equal amounts of water and flour (cooking part of the flour makes the dough soft and pliable). Stir, remove from heat, and let cool. When the mixture is warm, gradually add the remaining flour and knead the dough well. The dough should not stick to your hands.
Step 2
Add finely chopped onion, milk, salt, and pepper to the minced meat and mix well.
Step 3
Roll the dough into thin circles about 2–3 mm thick. Use a large plate or bowl to cut out circles. On one half of the circle, spread approximately 2 tablespoons of filling, cover with the other half, and press the edges. Roll the edge with a special tool or the edge of a plate and check that there are no gaps in the seam.
Step 4
Fry in well-heated vegetable oil on both sides over medium heat, without covering, until golden brown.
