Ingredients
- Scallions - 3 bunches
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Buttermilk - 4 fl oz
- Cheshire Cheese - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F. Grease a baking sheet with butter.
Step 2
Chop the green onions coarsely.
Step 3
Combine the flour with baking powder, baking soda, and pepper. Add the butter and knead the dough. Add the onions and grated cheese. Mix well. Add the buttermilk and whisk until the dough becomes sticky.
Step 4
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and shape into crackers with a diameter of 12 – 13 cm.
Step 5
Place the crackers on the baking sheet and bake for 45 – 50 minutes.
