- Cottage cheese - 8.8 oz
- Puff Pastry - 17.6 oz
- Cheese Spread - 8.8 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thaw the puff pastry, roll it out, and cut it into 8 equal squares. Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese, cheese, egg, and salt (salt to taste, depending on the saltiness of the cheese). If mixing with a mixer, mix briefly to avoid making the mixture too liquid.
Step 3
Place the filling on the prepared squares. Fold the squares into envelopes and pinch the edges well.
Step 4
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it with oil. Transfer the pastries to the baking sheet, brush with beaten egg (you can brush with just the yolk, or a yolk mixed with a tablespoon of milk, or skip brushing altogether), and optionally sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Step 5
Place in the oven for 40 minutes. Let the finished pastries cool slightly and serve warm.
