Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
- Olive Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Whole egg - 2 pieces
- Hard Cheese - 8.8 oz
- Orange zest - 1 piece
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Sugar - 4.2 oz
- Saffron - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the flour with olive oil, add salt, a little warm water, and knead the dough. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rest for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Step 3
Grate the cheese, mix it with the yolks, sugar, and zest. Add saffron.
Step 4
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out circles about 10 cm in diameter. Place the filling in the center of each, fold the edges, and pinch to seal.
Step 5
Place the cookies on a baking sheet greased with oil and dusted with flour. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
