Cheese Buns with Streusel
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 14.1 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Water - 10 fl oz
- Dry yeast - 0.5 oz
- Natural Yogurt - 3.5 oz
- Vanillin - a pinch
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Wheat Flour - 14.8 oz
- Sugar - 4.2 oz
- Salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine water, yeast, sugar (30 g), and salt.
Step 3
Mix and add 1 egg and melted butter (30 g).
Step 4
Mix again.
Step 5
Add flour (400 g).
Step 6
Knead the dough first with a spoon, then with your hands.
Step 7
Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 30 minutes.
Step 8
In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, egg white (keep the yolk for brushing), yogurt, sugar (70 g), and vanillin.
Step 9
Blend with an immersion blender until smooth.
Step 10
For the streusel, combine flour (20 g), sugar (20 g), and cold butter (20 g).
Step 11
Rub together by hand until crumbly.
Step 12
Divide the dough into eight pieces.
Step 13
Roll one piece out to a thickness of no more than 1 cm and make cuts as shown in the photo.

Roll into a bun.
Step 15
Place on a baking sheet.

Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 40 minutes.

Brush with egg yolk.
Step 18
Add the cottage cheese filling.

Sprinkle with streusel.

Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 30 minutes.
