Description
Cheese Pancakes with Maple Syrup
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 10.6 oz
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Sugar - 2.8 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Vanilla salt - a pinch
- Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
If the cottage cheese is too grainy, it's better to strain it through a sieve. Mix all the ingredients, excluding the flour! It is very important to do this without the help of mixers, blenders, etc., otherwise the mixture will spread and you won't be able to shape the pancakes.
Step 2
Next, dust your hands with flour, take 50 grams of the cheese mixture, and roll it into a ball in your palms until it becomes sticky. Then, coat it in flour and roll it in your palms again. Repeat this process 4 times.
Step 3
Then, coat it in flour again and place this ball into a mold with a diameter of 6 cm. I don't have such a mold at home, so I made one out of foil. In the mold, shape the pancake with your fingers and set it aside for further frying.
Step 4
Fry on both sides until golden brown. Place the pancakes on a plate, drizzle with maple syrup, and serve with a bowl of sour cream on the side.
