- Kefir - 7 fl oz
- Safflower Oil - 3 fl oz
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour - 14.1 oz
- Cheese Spread - 7.1 oz
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
- Whole egg - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Warm the kefir and oil, combine in a deep bowl.
Step 2
Add sugar.
Step 3
Add a teaspoon of salt.
Step 4
Mix well with a wooden spatula.
Step 5
Add dry yeast to the flour and sift into the kefir mixture. Knead the dough.
Step 6
Knead the dough for 10 minutes.
Step 7
Cover the bowl with the dough with a towel and place in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
Step 8
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
Step 9
Form a small patty from the dough, place the filling in the center, and pinch the edges.
Step 10
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, lightly grease with sunflower oil, and place the pies at a small distance from each other.
Step 11
Brush the pies with egg yolk using a silicone brush. Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
