Cheese Pogacha
Ingredients
- Butter - 8.8 oz
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Sour Cream - 1 jar
- Hard Cheese - 10.6 oz
- Milk - 3 fl oz
- Ground Caraway - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the cheese. Warm the milk (it should be warm, but not boiling).
Step 2
Beat the softened butter with the egg, salt, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
Step 3
Add the baking soda and baking powder to the dough.
Step 4
Stir in the cheese, leaving 50 g for topping.
Step 5
Gradually add the flour while stirring. Knead a soft dough.
Step 6
Divide it in half and shape into 2 flatbreads (1.5 cm thick).
Step 7
Place the flatbreads on a greased baking sheet or in molds.
Step 8
Sprinkle the flatbreads with cheese and caraway seeds or cilantro.
Step 9
Bake for about half an hour in a preheated oven at 356°F.
