Ingredients
- Milk - 0 fl oz
- Wheat Flour - 14.1 oz
- Corn Starch - 1.8 oz
- Sugar - 1.1 oz
- Grated Parmesan cheese - 2.6 oz
- Gouda Cheese - 2.6 oz
- Baking Powder - 0.5 oz
- Salt - 0.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Buttermilk - 5 fl oz
- Butter - 4.2 oz
- Egg Yolk - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the dry ingredients, grate the well-chilled butter, and rub everything together until crumbly. Add the grated cheese and rub again.
Step 2
Combine the milk and buttermilk, add the egg, and whisk. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, mixing gently. Form a rectangle about 2 cm thick and cut into desired shapes.
Step 3
Mix the yolk with 20 ml of milk for brushing. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, slightly flatten the center so they rise evenly, and brush with the egg wash.
Step 4
Bake at 428°F for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
