Cheese Soufflé with Nutmeg
Ingredients
- 50% Fat 'Lambert' Cheese - 5.3 oz
- Milk - 1 cup
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Nutmeg - a pinch
- Wheat Flour - 1.8 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, melt the butter. Sauté the flour until golden brown.
Step 2
Gradually add the milk, stirring continuously.
Step 3
Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook for another 1-2 minutes until thickened.
Step 4
Reduce the heat, add the cheese and nutmeg, and stir until melted.
Step 5
Remove from heat. Beat the egg yolks and add them to the cheese mixture.
Step 6
In a small bowl, whip the egg whites to stiff peaks. Fold them into the mixture.
Step 7
Pour into greased molds and bake for 20-25 minutes at 170-176°C.
