Cheese Tartlets with Pecan Nuts

Ingredients

  • Butter - 5.3 oz
  • Ricotta cheese - 3.5 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 1 cup
  • Salt - ¼ teaspoon
  • Chicken Egg - 1 piece
  • Brown Sugar - ¾ cup
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped almonds - 2.5 oz
  • Cherries in Liqueur - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

In a bowl, beat the ricotta and softened butter, reserving 1 tablespoon. Then mix in the flour and salt. Chill the dough for 1 hour.

Step 2

Next, shape the dough into small balls (about 2.5–3 cm in diameter) and press each one into small muffin tins with your fingers.

Step 3

For the filling, beat the egg in a bowl. Add the brown sugar, reserved butter, and vanilla. Mix well, adding the nuts.

Step 4

Fill the muffin tins with the filling and bake at 374°F for 25–30 minutes.

Step 5

Cool and decorate with cherries.
