Cheesecake with Poppy Layer
Ingredients
- Yubileynoye Cookies - 5.3 oz
- Butter - 2.1 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 17.6 oz
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Sour Cream - 5.3 oz
- Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
- Poppy seed paste - 10.6 oz
- Strawberry - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Crush the cookies into crumbs using a blender. Add melted butter and mix. Transfer to a springform pan and press down on the bottom.
Step 2
Place the pan in a preheated oven at 320°F and bake for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
Step 3
Whisk the cheese with sugar until smooth and homogeneous. Gradually add sour cream and eggs.
Step 4
In the pan on top of the cookies, add a layer of poppy seeds (ready-made poppy mixtures are available, just add water). Pour the whipped filling over the poppy seeds.
Step 5
Place the pan in the preheated oven at 320°F. You can place a dish with boiling water at the bottom of the oven.
Step 6
Bake for about 1 hour.
Step 7
Leave the finished cheesecake in the oven for 40 minutes, then remove and let cool at room temperature. After that, refrigerate for 4 hours, or better overnight.
Step 8
Before serving, decorate with strawberries.
