- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Dry yeast - 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - ¾ teaspoon
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Beer - ¾ cup
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 1.4 oz
- Marinara sauce - to taste
- Melted Cheese - 4.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a mixer, knead the dough by combining flour, yeast, baking powder, salt, olive oil, and beer. Cover the bowl with the kneaded dough and let it rise for an hour.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix the butter and garlic, mashing with a fork.
Step 3
Stretch the dough by placing it on parchment paper. The dough should be stretched into a circle about 30 cm in diameter. Gradually stretch it every 5 minutes until the desired size is reached.
Step 4
Spread the butter-garlic mixture over the prepared base. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Using the parchment paper, transfer the filled dough onto a baking sheet. Bake for 9-10 minutes until golden brown. The cheese should melt.
Step 5
Before cutting into sticks, wait 1-2 minutes. Serve the sticks with marinara sauce.
