- Baking Powder - 2 teaspoons
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Marinated cherries - 11.3 oz
- Chopped almonds - 4.2 oz
- Almond - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F. Grease a muffin pan with butter or place paper liners in each cup.
Step 2
In a bowl, beat the softened butter with sugar using a mixer until creamy. Then, add the eggs one at a time.
Step 3
Pit the cherries and chop them into small pieces. Pat them dry slightly.
Step 4
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Step 5
Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture along with the milk and almond extract.
Step 6
Then gently fold in the almonds and cherries.
Step 7
Divide the batter among the muffin cups, sprinkle a little sugar on top, and bake for 25-30 minutes until done, checking with a toothpick.
