Cherry and Cottage Cheese Pie
Ingredients
- Butter - 12.3 oz
- Frozen Cherries - 14.1 oz
- Sugar - 1½ cups
- Vanilla Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Eggs - 3 pieces
- 9% Cottage Cheese - 17.6 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Sour Cream - 3.5 oz
- Wheat Flour - 3 cups
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate 250 g of cold butter.
Step 2
Separate the eggs into yolks and whites.
Step 3
Sift the flour and add ½ cup of sugar, grated butter, yolks, baking powder, cocoa powder, and sour cream.
Step 4
Knead the dough, then divide it into 2 parts and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 5
Melt the remaining 100 g of butter, pour it into the cottage cheese, and beat with a mixer until smooth.
Step 6
In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with 1 cup of sugar and vanilla sugar. Gently fold them into the cottage cheese mixture, then add the cherries.
Step 7
Grease a round baking pan with butter and evenly distribute 1 part of the dough in it.
Step 8
Spread the cottage cheese and cherry mixture over the dough.
Step 9
Grate the second part of the dough on top of the filling.
Step 10
Place the pan in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 50 minutes.
Step 11
Remove the finished pie, let it cool, and serve cut into portions.
