Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 4 cups
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Baking Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Butter - 10.6 oz
- Cream - 1 cup
- Ground dried cherries - 1 cup
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F.
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add the diced butter and mix with your hands until crumbly. Fold in the cherries.
Step 3
Beat the egg and cream together and incorporate into the dough. Knead well.
Step 4
Place the dough on a floured surface and shape it into a rectangle about 2.5 cm thick. Use a cutter to cut out small circles and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 5
Brush the tops with cream and sprinkle with sugar. Bake the buns for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes and serve.
