Description
Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Ingredients
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Brown Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Ground Oats - 10.6 oz
- Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Ocean salt - ½ teaspoon
- Light Raisins, Seedless - 5.3 oz
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, beat the softened but not warm butter, add both sugars, and beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Step 3
Add the eggs one at a time.
Step 4
Stir in the flour mixture, then add the oats and raisins.
Step 5
Roll the dough into 18 balls, each about 5 cm in diameter (about 2 tablespoons). Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 6
Bake at 356°F for 22–25 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. It is important not to overbake; otherwise, the cookies will not be chewy. The center should remain very light.
