Ingredients
- Whole Grain Bun - 4 pieces
- Chicken fillet - 14.1 oz
- Semi-Smoked Sausage - 7.1 oz
- White bread - 100 pieces
- Bacon - to taste
- Milk - 3 fl oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Hard Cheese - to taste
- Potato - 1 piece
- Sweet Pepper - 1 piece
- Courgette - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Dill - 1 bunch
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the turkey fillet and smoked bacon under water, cut into pieces, and pass through a meat grinder (or blend) together with a slice of white bread soaked in milk and the onion. Then pass through the meat grinder 1-2 more times.
Step 2
Season the minced meat with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Divide the minced meat into 4 equal parts. Shape each into patties.
Step 4
In a preheated skillet, place 4 slices of bacon and fry on low heat (slightly below medium). The goal is to render as much fat from the bacon as possible, but be careful not to burn it. Tip: constantly turn the bacon to ensure it browns evenly on both sides. If too much fat is rendered, it can be drained off. Watch closely to prevent burning. Once you notice it starting to burn, immediately reduce the heat. On average, frying bacon takes 10-15 minutes, but this depends on the thickness of the slice. The finished bacon should be dark brown. Once ready, wrap it in a paper towel to absorb excess fat.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the patties on a rack and bake for about 15 minutes until fully cooked, but 5 minutes before they are done, place a slice of cheese on each chicken burger.
Step 6
For the salad on the chicken burger, rinse the vegetables and herbs under cold running water, then cut the vegetables into strips and chop the herbs finely. Mix all the vegetables and herbs, season with salt and pepper, and dress with olive oil.
Step 7
Cut the buns in half and toast them lightly in a toaster. Then lightly spread with mayonnaise.
Step 8
On the bottom half of the bun, place the chicken patties, bacon, salad, and cover with the top half of the bun. The chicken burger is ready to serve.
