Description
Chicken Burrito
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 3 pieces
- Paprika - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Ground Black Pepper - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Cumin - ¼ teaspoon
- Taco seasoning mix - 1 tablespoon
- Tomatoes - 2 pieces
- Chopped Green Onions - 2 tablespoons
- Chili jam - 1 tablespoon
- Onion - 2.1 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
- Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
- Canned Pork with Beans - 2.5 oz
- Sour Cream - 3.9 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Cheshire Cheese - 5 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the chicken breasts, pat them dry, and cut into thin strips. Place them in a marinade made of sweet pepper, taco seasoning, lemon juice, cumin, hot sauce, and salt. Marinate the chicken for 3–4 hours to enhance the flavor.
Step 2
You can use store-bought salsa or make it yourself by finely chopping tomatoes, adding diced onion, minced garlic, and finely chopped chili pepper. Season with salt, ground pepper, and mix well. Finally, add chopped cilantro leaves and lemon juice. Mix everything well and set aside.
Step 3
Fry the marinated chicken strips in oil until fully cooked for 10–15 minutes.
Step 4
Lightly toast the tortillas in a dry skillet and start assembling the burrito: place the chicken, then add some refried beans, salsa, sprinkle with cheese, and add a bit of fresh sour cream.
Step 5
Wrap the filling tightly in the tortilla and serve immediately.
