Description
Instead of chicken, you can use chicken thighs or drumsticks. It's better not to use breast fillet, as it tends to be dry. You can add mayonnaise to the filling.
Ingredients
- Margarine - 4.4 oz
- Kefir - ½ cup
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Salt - a pinch
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon
- Poultry - 2 lbs
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the chicken into portion-sized pieces about 3x3 cm, season with salt and pepper, and you can add onion sliced into half rings.
Step 2
Melt the margarine.
Step 3
Add kefir, salt, baking soda, egg, and flour to the melted margarine.
Step 4
Knead a stiff dough (the dough should not stick to your hands).
Step 5
Divide the dough into two parts in a 1:2 ratio. Roll out the larger part into a circle and place the prepared chicken on it.
Step 6
Roll out the smaller part into a circle and cover the pie. Make a small hole in the center.
Step 7
Bake in the oven at 180–392°F for 1 hour.
Step 8
The pie is ready when the juice inside becomes clear.
