  • Persimmon - 2 lbs
  • Boiling water - 1 qt
  • Tea - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Choose firm fruits with light flesh and a stem.

Wash thoroughly. Peel the skin off in a thin layer.

Step 3

Tightly tie a string around the stem. The ties should not be very long. After a week, a light white coating will appear on the persimmons; do not be alarmed, this is not mold. It is glucose that will cover the persimmons.

Step 4

The finished dried persimmon is tender, fragrant, and sweet.

Step 5

It can be used as a healthy snack or served with tea. To make a filling for a pie from such persimmons, soak them in boiling water.
