Ingredients

  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Sugar - 2½ spoons
  • Salt - 1 tablespoon
  • Milk - 2 glasses
  • Wheat Flour - 2 glasses
  • Activated Baking Soda - 1 tablespoon
  • Cocoa Powder - 3½ spoons
  • Vegetable Oil - ¼ glasses

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Beat the eggs with sugar and salt until frothy.

Step 2

Add a cup of milk and whisk well. Gradually sift in the flour while continuously mixing with a mixer to break up any lumps.

Step 3

Repeat the previous step, adding the remaining cups of milk and flour. Add the cocoa powder. Pour in the vegetable oil (it can be substituted with melted butter).

Step 4

Neutralize the baking soda, add it to the batter, and mix well once more. Let it rest for about 5–10 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the skillet.

Step 5

Cook without oil (otherwise, it's no longer an American pancake) over medium heat. As soon as bubbles appear and start to pop, flip the pancake and cook for another 20 seconds.
