Description

Chocolate Banana Roll

Ingredients

  • Egg white - 7 pieces
  • Sugar - 7 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour - 8 tablespoons
  • Milk - 7 fl oz
  • Butter - 8.8 oz
  • Vinegar essence - to taste
  • Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
  • Bananas - 2 pieces
  • Powdered Sugar - 6 tablespoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Dough: For the dough, take 6 eggs, separate the yolks from the whites. Whip the egg whites with sugar until peaks form. Gradually add the yolks one by one to the whipped whites, gently folding. Gradually add 6 tablespoons of sifted flour. Mix well. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and grease it with butter. Pour the batter onto the baking sheet, smoothing it with a wet spoon to create a rectangle of even thickness on all sides. Bake for 7-10 minutes at 356°F. Remove the baked layer and transfer it with the paper onto a wet towel, roll it up, and let it cool with the towel.

Step 2

Filling: Heat the milk with 2 tablespoons of flour and one egg, whisking the mixture with a whisk. The mixture should thicken. Remove from heat, add cocoa powder, vanilla essence, and powdered sugar, and mix thoroughly. Whip the butter. While whipping the cooled cream, add the butter one spoonful at a time.

Step 3

Spread about three-quarters of the cream on the unrolled layer, place the two bananas along the center, and roll it up. Cover the entire surface with the remaining chocolate cream. Optionally sprinkle with cocoa powder, coconut, or chocolate shavings.

Step 4

Place in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
