Ingredients

  • Bacon - 3.5 oz
  • Pecan - 1.8 oz
  • Bittersweet Chocolate - 4.2 oz
  • Liquid dark chocolate - 2.1 oz
  • Butter - 3.2 oz
  • Sugar - 4.1 oz
  • Brown Sugar - 4.1 oz
  • Bourbon - 2 spoons
  • Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
  • Ocean salt - 2 spoons
  • Cocoa Powder - 2 spoons
  • Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz

Fry all the bacon except for three pieces in a skillet until golden brown. Transfer the cooked bacon to paper towels, and drain the fat from the skillet, as you will need it later.

Finely chop the cooked bacon and pecans.

In a mixing bowl, beat together two types of sugar, 2 tablespoons of bacon fat, bourbon, eggs, and salt. Gradually add the sifted flour with cocoa and mix until smooth.

Transfer the dough to a baking dish lined with parchment paper, sprinkle with bacon and pecans. Bake for 40 minutes in an oven preheated to 356°F.

Place the bacon in the oven with the brownies to render the fat. This will take 20-30 minutes.

Melt the chocolate over low heat, then add the butter. Dip the cooked bacon in the chocolate, place it on paper towels, and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
