- Buckwheat Groats - 6.2 oz
- Applesauce - 7.1 oz
- Natural Yogurt - 8.8 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
- Baking Powder - 0.4 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Dates - 3 pieces
- Ghee - 1 teaspoon
- Walnuts - 15 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
You can buy applesauce in the baby food section or make it by stewing three grated apples with spices (cinnamon, cardamom) and 4 pieces of prunes.
Step 2
Blend the dates with the applesauce in a blender (you can skip the dates).
Step 3
Mix the resulting applesauce and yogurt, then add the ghee.
Step 4
Combine the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder.
Step 5
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the yogurt and applesauce mixture, kneading a soft and slightly sticky dough.
Step 6
Roll small balls from the dough, slightly flatten them, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place half a walnut, a piece of dark chocolate, or any other filling (nuts, dried fruits) in the center of each cookie.
Step 7
Bake for 15–17 minutes at 356°F.
