- Cocoa Powder - 3.5 oz
- Baking Powder - 0.7 oz
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Activated Baking Soda - 1½ teaspoons
- Milk - 7 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil - 3 fl oz
- Vanillin - 0.4 oz
- Boiling water - 7 fl oz
- Butter - 3 oz
- 70% Dark Chocolate - 3.5 oz
- 10% cream - 7.1 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Powdered Sugar - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F. Grease the cake pan with butter and dust with flour.
Step 2
Mix sugar, flour, cocoa powder (50 grams), baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, oil, and vanillin, and pour into the dry mixture. Mix well at medium speed.
Step 3
Pour in the boiling water (the batter will be liquid) and mix again. Pour the prepared batter into the pan and bake for 30–40 minutes at 356°F. The batter should not be dry; it should be moist. Adjust the baking time if necessary.
Step 4
For the glaze, melt the butter in a saucepan, add cream and chocolate. Cook over medium heat until the chocolate is melted.
Step 5
Then add cocoa powder and powdered sugar, stirring until smooth. The cream will thicken to your desired consistency. I achieve a non-liquid glaze after cooking for 15 minutes. If it becomes too thick, you can add more cream.
Step 6
Let the baked cake cool, poke the surface with a toothpick, and spread the glaze over it. Decorate with chocolate confetti. Let it sit for one to two hours.
