Description
Chocolate Candies 'Banana Bonjour'
Ingredients
- Bananas - 2 pieces
- Liquid dark chocolate - 3.5 oz
- Chopped almonds - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the bananas and slice them into small rounds. Place them on a flat plate or cutting board and put them in the freezer.
Step 2
While the banana slices are freezing, let's prepare the chocolate coating. Break the milk chocolate bar into small pieces, place them in a small bowl, and melt. You can use a microwave or a double boiler.
Step 3
Take a silicone mold for making candies and start coating the cavities with the melted chocolate. A silicone brush works great for this. It's best to repeat the process a few times to ensure the chocolate layer is not too thin. But remember to place the mold in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes after each coating to let it set.
Step 4
While the chocolate 'shells' were being prepared, the bananas have frozen. Take them out of the freezer and prepare the banana mousse. Place the frozen fruits in a food processor or use an immersion blender. Immediately distribute the finished mousse into the chocolate molds while it hasn't started to melt.
Step 5
After the banana mousse is evenly distributed in the molds (do not fill it more than half a centimeter), fill the remaining space with chopped peanuts and put the molds back in the freezer.
Step 6
After a while, take out the Banana Bonjour, let it rest for a few minutes to warm up from the cold, and enjoy.
