- Semi-soft cream cheese - 15.9 oz
- Sugar - 2.3 oz
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- Liquid dark chocolate - 1.4 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 6.2 oz
- Cocoa Powder - ⅓ cup
- Brown Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Butter - 2.5 oz
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Sour Cream - 7.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the filling, in a bowl, beat the cream cheese with white sugar at medium speed until smooth. Add one egg and vanilla extract.
Step 2
Melt the chocolate in a water bath and set aside to cool.
Step 3
For the chocolate cake, preheat the oven to 347°F. Grease a square baking pan with sides of 20 cm. Line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper and grease the paper.
Step 4
In a large bowl, mix the flour with cocoa, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together two eggs with melted butter and sour cream. Pour the egg mixture into the bowl with the flour and mix with folding motions.
Step 5
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Spread the filling on top. Drizzle with melted chocolate. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until the edges of the filling start to brown. Cool in the pan on a rack.
Step 6
Cut the cooled preparation into pastries and serve.
