Chocolate Cupcakes with Sour Cream Frosting
Ingredients
- Margarine - 5.3 oz
- Milk - 3 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Baking Powder - 2 teaspoons
- Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
- 20% Sour Cream - 5 tablespoons
- Cocoa Powder - 4 tablespoons
- Sugar - 4 tablespoons
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine butter, cocoa, sugar, and milk.
Step 2
Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
Step 3
Let it cool.
Step 4
Add the eggs to the cooled mixture and stir.
Step 5
Add baking powder and flour, and knead to form a not very thick batter.
Step 6
Grease the cupcake molds (any kind, I used silicone) with a little oil, and fill them with batter up to 2/3 full.
Step 7
Place in a preheated oven at 356°F and bake for 20–25 minutes.
Step 8
For the frosting, in a saucepan, combine sour cream, cocoa, sugar, and butter.
Step 9
Bring to a boil (remove from heat as soon as the first bubbles appear).
Step 10
Let it cool.
Step 11
Spread the cooled frosting over the cooled cupcakes.
Step 12
If desired, decorate with sprinkles or crushed nuts.
