Ingredients
- Chocolate - 6.3 oz
- Butter - 2.6 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
- Baking Powder - ½ teaspoon
- Sugar - 4.2 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Wheat Flour - 7.8 oz
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Melt the chocolate and butter in a water bath.
Step 2
While the chocolate mixture cools, whisk the eggs with sugar until thickened.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder for uniformity.
Step 4
Once the chocolate has cooled, add it to the egg mixture and stir.
Step 5
Now add the flour mixture (with all the ingredients from step 3) to this mixture. Mix well. The dough will be thick, so don't be alarmed.
Step 6
Place the dough in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Step 7
After 2 hours... turn on the oven to 356°F.
Step 8
Meanwhile, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a deep bowl, add powdered sugar (I used 3 tablespoons).
Step 9
Using a tablespoon, take some dough, roll it into a ball with your hands, and coat it in powdered sugar. Continue making balls from the entire dough. Leave space between the balls as they will spread a little.
Step 10
Bake in the oven for 15 minutes. The cookies will spread a bit, rise, and crack.
