Chocolate Nut Cookies
Ingredients
- Bitter - 6.2 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Butter - 2.6 oz
- Sugar - 4.2 oz
- Wheat Flour - 7.8 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 2 tablespoons
- Baking Powder - ½ tablespoon
- Nuts - ½ cup
- Cardamom - 1 piece
- Ground Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - a pinch
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it in a water bath along with the butter. Allow to cool.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with sugar using a mixer.
Step 3
Combine all dry ingredients and spices in a separate bowl. Remove the seeds from the cardamom pods and grind them in a mortar. I add them whole.
Step 4
Pour the cooled chocolate into the egg mixture, add the dry mixture and chopped nuts, and mix well. Place the dough in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
Step 5
Roll the dough into small balls, coat them in powdered sugar, and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper.
Step 6
Bake at 165°C (329°F) for 10 - 15 minutes.
