Description
If you have a sweet tooth, you can enhance this wonderful pie with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle it with chocolate syrup.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 8.8 oz
- Canned Pears in Light Syrup - 14.1 oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Walnuts - 2.6 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate - 2.6 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1 tablespoon
- Butter - 4.4 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
- Cream - 4 fl oz
- Baking Powder - 4 teaspoons
- Salt - a pinch
- Cinnamon - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Melt the chocolate with the butter in a double boiler, then add the cocoa. Allow to cool.
Step 2
Toast the walnuts in a dry skillet until golden, then chop finely. Combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, eggs, cream, melted chocolate, cinnamon, and walnuts—mix thoroughly with a mixer (adding ingredients gradually).
Step 3
Place the pears in a colander to drain the syrup. Pat dry with a paper towel and slice them into thin wedges.
Step 4
Grease a baking tray with butter, line it with parchment paper, and grease it again. Pour in the batter and smooth it out. Arrange the pears on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 40 minutes.
