Chocolate Pie Cake

Ingredients

  • Liquid dark chocolate - 7.1 oz
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Wheat Flour - 3.2 oz
  • Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Chocolate eggs - 5 pieces
  • Nutmeg - to taste
  • Instant coffee - 4 tablespoons
  • Cocoa Powder - 5 tablespoons
  • Butter - 5.6 oz
  • Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande - 1.8 oz
  • Powdered Sugar - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 356°F.

Step 2

Grease the baking pan with butter, line it with parchment paper, and grease the paper as well.

Step 3

Melt the chocolate in a water bath.

Step 4

Pour the coffee into the melted chocolate, let it sit for 2-3 minutes without stirring, then gently mix.

Step 5

Add 140 g of butter and stir until the butter is melted.

Step 6

Separate the egg whites from the yolks.

Step 7

Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.

Step 8

While continuing to whip, gradually add the brown sugar.

Step 9

Mix the baking powder with the cocoa and flour, then sift through a sieve.

Step 10

In the slightly cooled chocolate, add the yolks, then mix the chocolate mixture with the egg whites.

Step 11

Add the flour with cocoa and nutmeg, and gently fold in. The mixture should be light and airy.

Step 12

Carefully transfer the batter to the pan and bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.

Step 13

Allow the cake to cool, remove from the pan, and dust with cocoa or drizzle with cream and sprinkle with cake crumbs on top.

Step 14

For the cream, whip the mascarpone with powdered sugar.

Step 15

Drizzle over the cake and let it set.
