Chocolate Roll with Cream Cheese
Ingredients
- Egg white - 6 pieces
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Vanilla salt - 2 teaspoons
- Water - 0 fl oz
- Cocoa Powder - 1.1 oz
- Wheat Flour - 2.3 oz
- Baking Powder - ¾ teaspoon
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande - 1.8 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 1.8 oz
- Chili jam - ½ jar
- Powdered Sugar - 4.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Step 2
Add 150 g of granulated sugar to the egg whites and beat until peaks form.
Step 3
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar and 15 ml of water to the yolks. Whisk together.
Step 4
Mix the dry ingredients until uniform: flour + baking powder + cocoa (sifted).
Step 5
Gently fold the yolks into the egg whites. Add to the dry mixture. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 374°F.
Step 6
For the filling, mix mascarpone, vanilla, cream cheese, and powdered sugar in a mixer until smooth.
Step 7
Now sprinkle cocoa on a towel and roll the cake into a roll on it (WHILE WARM!!). Let it cool for 15 minutes.
Step 8
Drizzle with cherry jam, then spread the cream filling on top.
