Choux pastries with chocolate cream
Ingredients
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Butter - 3.5 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Wheat Flour - 4.2 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Sour Cream - 1 can
- Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Cocoa Powder - 3 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour 240 ml of milk into a small saucepan, add the butter cut into pieces and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil.
Step 2
Once it boils, remove from heat and transfer to a prepared bowl, add 120 g of flour and stir. Allow the dough to cool.
Step 3
After the dough has cooled, add 4 eggs and mix well with a spoon; you can also knead it with your hands.
Step 4
Preheat the oven, grease a baking dish with vegetable oil, and spoon the dough onto it; you can use a pastry bag if you have one available.
Step 5
Place in the oven. Bake for 25–30 minutes.
Step 6
For the cream, mix 240 ml of sour cream, 100 g of sugar, and 3 tablespoons of cocoa. Stir well.
Step 7
You can fill the choux with the cream, or simply dip them in the cream for even more deliciousness!
