Ingredients
- Butter - 7.8 oz
- Sugar - 7.1 oz
- Egg white - 1 piece
- Wheat Flour - 14.1 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese - 1.9 oz
- Baking Powder - 1.4 oz
- Chios Mastic Powder - 0.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the sugar and butter in a mixer. Add the egg and continue beating until fully dissolved. Then add the cream cheese and mastic and beat a little more.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, mix the flour with the baking powder and gradually add the butter mixture until you get a homogeneous dough. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for one hour.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 338°F. Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out to a thickness of 3–5 mm. Cut out cookies using cookie cutters and place them on a baking sheet lightly greased with oil.
Step 4
Bake for 8–12 minutes depending on the size. Allow to cool before decorating them to your liking.
