Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 20.1 oz
- Sugar - 4.9 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 4 fl oz
- Rooibos Tea Bags - 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix all dry ingredients together using a mixer, add baking powder, and slowly mix while pouring in the vegetable oil. Then, while mixing slowly, add the brewed rooibos tea one spoon at a time.
Step 2
To brew the tea, use one teaspoon of dry rooibos and steep it for 15 minutes in a medium cup. You can also add some tea leaves for more aroma.
Step 3
The cookie dough should have a consistency similar to crumbly wet sand.
Step 4
Cover a baking sheet with foil and press the crumbly dough into a cookie cutter with your finger to create an even surface. Sprinkle a little sugar on top.
Step 5
Bake in the oven at 200°C for 13-14 minutes.
Step 6
Once the cookies cool, you can decorate them with powdered sugar or glaze. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar with lemon juice.
