Description
Cinnamon Raisin Rolls
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Dry yeast - 0.2 oz
- Sugar - 6.3 oz
- Salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Butter - 1.6 oz
- Milk - 7 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Cinnamon - 3 teaspoons
- Raisins - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Mix the dry ingredients for the dough — sifted flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Combine the milk with the eggs and melted butter. The mixture should be at room temperature or slightly warmer so that the yeast activates more quickly.
Step 2
Now combine both mixtures and knead the dough. Use the remaining 50 grams of flour for dusting while kneading. Add it gradually — the dough should be soft, elastic, and easily come off your hands.
Step 3
Place the dough in a larger bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and set it in a warm place to rise for about 40–60 minutes. It should double in size. Once this happens, punch it down and let it rise again.
Step 4
Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle about 0.5–1 cm thick. Brush it with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, and evenly distribute the pre-soaked and dried raisins.
Step 5
Roll the dough tightly from the short side and cut into slices 1.5–2 cm thick. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the future rolls on it, leaving enough space between them for rising. Brush each roll with beaten egg and place in a preheated oven at 356°F.
Step 6
Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
