Description

You can use any other filling instead of zest: raisins, apples, nuts, poppy seeds, chocolate, berries, etc.

Ingredients

  • Farm fresh eggs - 4 pieces
  • Milk - 4 fl oz
  • Margarine - 8.8 oz
  • Sugar - 21.2 oz
  • Wheat Flour - 16.9 oz
  • Baking Powder - 0 oz
  • Orange zest - to taste
  • Poppy seed paste - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Melt the margarine, add the sugar, and stir until the sugar dissolves. Pour in the milk and let it cool. Beat in the eggs, add the baking powder, flour, and poppy seeds to taste. Mix well until the batter is thick like sour cream.

Step 2

Chop the orange zest (or lemon), add it to the batter, and mix well.

Step 3

Grease a baking pan with margarine, pour in the batter. Bake at 200–410°F for about 35 minutes.
