Description
Recipe from Chef Michael Smith, from a popular American café.
Ingredients
- Watermelon - 31.7 oz
- Oranges - 1 piece
- Lemon - ½ pieces
- Honey - 1.8 oz
- Mint - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the seeds and skin from the melon. Set aside 150 grams, and transfer the rest to a deep bowl.
Step 2
Cut the orange in half and carefully scoop out the flesh with a spoon, making sure not to damage the peel.
Step 3
Add the orange segments and honey to the melon in a deep bowl, squeeze in the lemon juice, and blend until smooth.
Step 4
Cut 150 grams of melon into small cubes and add them to the fruit mixture.
Step 5
Transfer the mixture to a container and place it in the freezer for 8 hours. During the first 3 hours, stir the mixture with a fork or whisk every 30 minutes.
Step 6
Then let it sit for another 5 hours.
Step 7
Serve the sorbet in half an orange, garnished with fresh mint.
