Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 17.6 oz
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Honey - 3 tablespoons
- Activated Baking Soda - ½ teaspoon
- Vinegar essence - to taste
- 20% Sour Cream - 24.7 oz
- Heavy cream - 7 fl oz
- Powdered Sugar - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the dough base in a water bath: melt the butter, sugar, and honey while stirring. Let it cool.
Step 2
Beat the eggs, mixing them with the baking soda that has been neutralized with vinegar. While constantly stirring, pour the beaten eggs into the melted butter and honey mixture.
Step 3
Gradually add the sifted flour to the egg and honey mixture. Knead the dough.
Step 4
Divide it into several equal parts (according to the number of layers), roll each into a ball, and then roll out into a thin layer. Cut out round layers from the rolled-out dough.
Step 5
Bake the layers in a preheated oven at 392°F for 2–3 minutes.
Step 6
For the cream, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar.
Step 7
Add the sour cream and mix with a whisk.
Step 8
Spread the cream on the cooled layers, making sure to cover the sides as well.
Step 9
Place the cake in the refrigerator for 8–10 hours to let it soak well.
Step 10
Serve.
