Description
It's easy to give syrniki a smooth shape by covering a ball of dough with a glass and making a few circular movements of the glass on a floured surface. After that, just slightly flatten the syrnik on top, and you'll get a neat, even patty.
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 10.6 oz
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Wheat Flour - 1.1 oz
- Sugar - 1.1 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
- Sour Cream - to taste
- Honey - to taste
- Cinnamon - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2
Pass the cottage cheese through a metal sieve — this will make the syrniki airy and tender. If you don't have a sieve, you can use a fine grater.
Step 3
Add the yolk of 1 egg to the cottage cheese.
Step 4
Add 30 grams of sugar (you can substitute it with the same amount of powdered sugar). Slightly salt and mix.
Step 5
Add the previously sifted flour. Mix well. You should get a homogeneous mass that can easily be formed into balls.
Step 6
Shape the syrniki.
Step 7
Pour vegetable oil into a hot skillet.
Step 8
Fry the syrniki for 3 minutes on each side over medium heat.
Step 9
Once the syrniki are browned, flip them again and fry each side for another 3 minutes over low heat.
Step 10
Serve the syrniki hot. Optionally, serve with sour cream (jam, condensed milk).
Step 11
Another serving option is with honey and cinnamon.
