Classic vanilla sponge cake
Ingredients
- Sugar - 6.3 oz
- Wheat Flour - 5.3 oz
- Chicken Egg - 4 pieces
- Vanilla salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Step 2
Start beating the egg whites on the lowest mixer speed. Gradually, one spoonful at a time, add the sugar and sprinkle in the vanilla.
Step 3
Then, gradually add the egg yolks one spoonful at a time, continuing to beat the mixture.
Step 4
Remove the mixer and start sifting the flour into the bowl with the egg whites, gently folding it in with a spoon in an upward motion.
Step 5
Pour the prepared batter into the mold (it's best to line the bottom with a circle of parchment paper). Do not grease the sides.
Step 6
Place the sponge cake in a preheated oven at 190–392°F for 20–25 minutes.
