Description
If you're having semolina, it should be made with coconut milk. Only in this case will it be truly easy for the body to digest, immediately giving us energy.
Ingredients
- Semolina - 2.8 oz
- Coconut Liqueur - 1 fl oz
- Coconut Milk - 8 fl oz
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Vanilla Pod - 1 piece
- Coconut flakes - 1 tablespoon
- Strawberry - 0.7 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the vanilla pod in half. Use the sharp edge of a knife to scrape out the black vanilla seeds from the pod — the more seeds, the more aromatic the porridge will be. Set aside.
Step 2
Remove the stems from the strawberries and cut them into quarters. Set aside.
Step 3
Combine the coconut milk and cream in a saucepan, add the vanilla seeds and the pod itself. Add sugar, place over medium heat, and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for a couple of minutes. Return to medium heat and carefully sprinkle in the semolina while stirring. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Once the porridge thickens, remove from heat and stir in the coconut flakes. Carefully remove the vanilla pod, rinse, dry, and save for future use.
Step 4
Serve the porridge garnished with fresh strawberries.
