Description

You can add dried fruits if desired, but the cake is heavy, and it's better not to add them for proper baking. Or add a little, but not too much.

Ingredients

  • Instant coffee - 1 tablespoon
  • Peanuts - 1 cup
  • Wheat Flour - 1½ cups
  • Honey - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking Soda - 1 teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Prepare 1 cup of coffee water (1 teaspoon of instant coffee per 1 cup of water).

Step 2

Prepare 1 cup of ground nuts (salted peanuts ground in a blender or food processor until almost flour-like. But you can leave some small pieces of nuts for better flavor).

Step 3

Sift 1 cup of flour to the brim (+ an additional 1 or 2 tablespoons of flour just in case to make the dough airier).

Step 4

Dissolve the honey and sugar well in a cup of warm coffee water and add everything else to this mixture, adding the baking soda last. The dough should have the consistency of sour cream (a decent thickness). If it's too runny, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of flour.

Step 5

Grease the baking pan with vegetable oil and sprinkle with semolina. Or line with parchment paper.

Step 6

Bake at 356°F for 40-50 minutes.
