Coffee cake with almonds and cashews
Ingredients
- Butter - 6.2 oz
- Wheat Flour - 6.2 oz
- Sugar - 6.2 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Farm fresh eggs - 3 pieces
- Dr. Oetker baking powder - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped almonds - 1.1 oz
- Roasted Peanuts - 0.7 oz
- Instant coffee - 2 tablespoons
- Chocolate - 2.5 oz
- 10% cream - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 6 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Beat the butter with sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs, baking powder, and mix until smooth.
Step 2
Pour 2 tablespoons of instant coffee with 6 tablespoons of hot water.
Step 3
Chop the nuts. Add 4 tablespoons of coffee and the chopped nuts to the butter-egg mixture. Mix until smooth.
Step 4
Add the flour. Mix well.
Step 5
Pour into an 18 cm mold. Place in a preheated oven at 356°F for 30–35 minutes. Let the finished cake cool and remove from the mold.
Step 6
Break the chocolate and melt it in a water bath. Add the cream and the remaining coffee. Mix. Simmer for a bit. Pour the glaze over the cake and decorate with any sprinkles.
