Corn Cake with Almonds
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour - 7.1 oz
- Corn Flour for Polenta - 10.6 oz
- Butter - 7.1 oz
- Chopped almonds - 3.5 oz
- Sugar - 5.3 oz
- Egg white - 3 pieces
- Cognac - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Powdered Sugar - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F.
Step 2
Cream the softened butter with the egg yolks and sugar. Gradually add the mixture of corn flour and wheat flour, then add the cognac. Chop the almonds and mix them into the batter. Add the lemon zest and stir.
Step 3
Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking pan. Bake for 1 hour.
Step 4
Sprinkle the finished cake with powdered sugar.
