Description
A traditional casserole, just like the ones from our childhood. With a perfectly balanced ratio of semolina: only 60 grams for every 1 kilogram of cottage cheese. After all, there's nothing more disappointing than a casserole that pretends to be made with cottage cheese, merely disguising its absence with semolina.
Ingredients
- Cottage cheese - 0 lbs
- Chicken Egg - 3 pieces
- Sugar - 5 oz
- Semolina - 0 oz
- Raisins - 5 oz
- Vanillin - 0 oz
- Salt - a pinch
- Butter - 0 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pass the cottage cheese through a sieve to achieve a creamy texture. Separate the egg yolks from the whites and beat the yolks with sugar and vanilla until pale.
Step 2
Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt until soft peaks form. Combine the yolks with the cottage cheese, add the semolina, and let it sit for 10–15 minutes.
Step 3
Add the raisins and whipped egg whites to the cottage cheese mixture, gently fold in from the bottom to the top.
Step 4
Grease the baking dish with butter.
Step 5
Dust with a small amount of semolina.
Step 6
Transfer the cottage cheese mixture into a mold.
Step 7
Melt 40 grams of butter and drizzle it over the casserole before baking.
Step 8
Cover the dish with foil and place it in a preheated oven at 355°F for 30 minutes.
Step 9
Then remove the foil and leave it in the oven for another 20 minutes.
Step 10
Serve.
